Event Invitations

Event invitations that control who gets in

Event invitation software should do more than send a pretty card. For invite-only events, brand activations and guest-list nights, the job is controlling access: who can RSVP, through whose link, with how many plus-ones, and whether you approve them first.

Guestcount sends invitations by email, SMS and invite links, runs a branded RSVP page where guests verify their phone number with a code and never create an account, and keeps every reply on one live guest list.

Three ways to invite, one guest list

Most events mix invitation types. Guestcount handles all of them in one list:

  • Direct adds: add guests yourself, then send the invitation by email or SMS. Guests added late are covered automatically.
  • Invite links: give each artist, agency, sponsor or PR contact their own link, so every RSVP is attributed to whoever brought it in.
  • A public link: for the open part of your audience, still on your branded page and still subject to your capacity.

Invite links with their own limits

An invite link in Guestcount is a controlled allocation, not just a URL. Each link can have:

  • A number of spots, from a handful up to 999, or no limit.
  • Its own plus-one allowance, from none up to ten per guest.
  • Approval, so each RSVP waits for you before it counts.
  • A label applied to everyone who joins through it, so you can filter them later.

Approve RSVPs one at a time, by link, by who vouched for them, or for a whole event at once.

Public, passcode, or invite only

Choose how open each event is. A public event takes RSVPs from anyone with the link. A passcode event asks for a code first. An invite-only event accepts only guests you added or who came through an invite link.

Turn on a waitlist and RSVPs past your capacity queue up for you to promote as spots open. Guests can also request to join an event they weren't invited to, for you to approve or decline.

Phone-verified RSVPs, no account

Guests RSVP on your branded page and confirm with a code texted to their phone. There's no account to create and no password to forget, and the verified number is what ties the RSVP to one guest record across all your events.

Plus-ones can be handled three ways: let the guest add them, add their names yourself, or reserve spots only. Guests with a plus-one allowance get their own link to invite them.

On your own web address

On the Brand plan, your RSVP pages can live at your own subdomain on guestcount.com, and the RSVP form can be embedded inside your own website.

Frequently asked questions

What's the best software for invite-only event RSVPs?

Look for per-inviter links with their own RSVP limits, approval before an RSVP counts, and a passcode or invite-only mode. Guestcount has all three, plus RSVPs verified by a code sent to the guest's phone.

Do guests need an account to RSVP?

Not on Guestcount. Guests RSVP on the event page and confirm with a code sent to their phone.

How do I give different people their own invite links?

Create an invite link for each inviter, such as an artist, agency or sponsor, set how many RSVPs it allows and how many plus-ones each guest gets, and share it. Every RSVP is attributed to the link it came through.

Can I send event invitations by text message?

Yes. Guestcount sends invitations by SMS or email, and covers guests added after the first send automatically. Guests can reply STOP to opt out.

What happens when my event is full?

With the waitlist turned on, RSVPs past your capacity queue up instead of being turned away, and you promote guests from it as spots open.

Guestcount is the CRM for IRL: an end-to-end guest management platform for events, from branded RSVP pages through day-of check-in and post-event reporting. Pricing starts at $249 for a single event.
