Data & Privacy

What personal information does Guestcount collect about me?
For guests, the names, email addresses, and mobile phone numbers submitted on an Organizer's RSVP page, along with RSVP status and door check-in details. For Organizers, account information such as name, email, and organization name. The full breakdown is in our Privacy Policy.
How is my phone number protected?
Phone numbers are encrypted with AES-256-GCM using keys held outside the database, looked up by a one-way fingerprint rather than the raw number, and only ever sent over encrypted connections. There's more detail on our Data Protection page.
Does Guestcount sell my data?
No. Guestcount does not sell personal information and does not share phone numbers with marketers. Keep in mind that the Organizer who collects your information through Guestcount is an independent controller of their own contacts and decides how they use them. What a specific Organizer does with their list is between you and that Organizer, not something Guestcount controls.
Can I access, correct, or delete my information?
Yes. Email privacy@guestcount.com to request access, correction, or deletion, or ask the Organizer who collected your details directly. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR or CCPA.
Who can see my information?
The Organizer whose page you used to RSVP. Your data is isolated from other Organizers at the database level, and access by Plus One staff is limited to those who need it to run the service and is recorded in an internal audit log.

Messaging & Texts

Why am I getting texts from Guestcount?
Because you shared your number with an Organizer when you RSVP'd. Messages are sent through Guestcount on that Organizer's behalf, about that event, such as confirmations, details, reminders, and door coordination.
How do I stop receiving texts?
Reply STOP to any message to opt out, or reply HELP for assistance. You can also email privacy@guestcount.com. Opting out of SMS won't affect email you've separately agreed to.
Will my number be used for other events or Organizers?
No. A number collected for one Organizer's event is never used to message you on behalf of a different Organizer, and we don't sell it or share it with marketers.
Do message and data rates apply?
Message frequency varies by event, and message and data rates may apply depending on your carrier and plan.

About Guestcount

What is Guestcount?
Event-organization software that lets Organizers (promoters, venues, and brands) build event pages, manage guestlists, message guests by email and SMS for guestlist purposes, and run door check-in.
Do I need an account to RSVP?
No. As a guest you RSVP directly through an Organizer's page, with no account required.
Can I browse or discover events on Guestcount?
No. Guestcount isn't an event-discovery or ticketing marketplace, and there's no public directory of events. You reach an event only through a link the Organizer shares with you. Guestcount is for running your own guestlist, not for finding events to attend.
How do I become an Organizer?
Guestcount is currently invite-only. Reach out at hello@guestcount.com to get started.

For Organizers

Who is Guestcount built for?
Organizers running events, such as promoters, venues, brands, and agencies, rather than one-off personal hosts. If your team runs guestlists, doors, and guest communications at any kind of scale, that's who the platform is for.
Can my whole team use one account?
Yes. You can invite teammates and give them roles, like admins who build and manage events, and door staff who only check guests in, all working from the same shared guestlists. Pro accounts include up to three user seats. Enterprise is a custom plan, so larger teams get the seats and limits they need.
How flexible is adding guests?
Very flexible. You can add people directly to a guestlist, or manually confirm the ones who have requested a spot. When you add someone, you can send them an invite on the spot, or add them and reach everyone at once with a broadcast. Guests can also RSVP themselves through your page, and you can collect any custom fields you need along the way. If you import an existing list, you're responsible for having the right consent to message those contacts, especially by SMS; our Terms spell out those obligations.
Can I manage my contacts across events?
Yes. Your guests live in a contact list that spans all of your events, not just one. When someone you've seen before RSVPs again, Guestcount recognizes them, so you can see their history with you, keep tags and notes, and reuse segments when you invite or message people for your next event.
How do guests confirm their spot and check in?
Guests confirm through a link you share, with no app or account needed. We verify their identity with a one-time code by SMS, so you can trust that the right person is on the list, and you control whether they can bring plus-ones and how many. At the event, your staff check guests in against the live guestlist using the Guestcount Check-In app.
Can I build email and SMS broadcasts?
Yes. You can compose branded email broadcasts in a rich editor and send SMS broadcasts to your guests, and target who receives them, like everyone who RSVP'd yes or a specific segment of your list. Email broadcasts automatically pick up your event's branding so they look like you, not us.
Can I text my guests?
Yes. You can send SMS to guests for guestlist purposes on any plan, such as confirmations, details, and reminders, and guests can reply STOP to opt out at any time. Two-way conversations, where you message back and forth with an individual guest, are available on our custom Enterprise plans. You're responsible for consent and for following messaging rules in your region.
Can I make event pages match my brand?
Yes. Event pages are customizable, including themes, fonts, colors, and your own flyer, so the page a guest sees reflects your brand rather than ours.
Is my company's data kept separate from other Organizers?
Yes. Your guests and data are isolated at the database level, so one Organizer can never see another's. There's more on how we protect data on our Data Protection page.
How do accounts and login work?
Guestcount is invite-only today. Organizer accounts sign in with an email and password plus a required one-time code sent by SMS (two-factor), so a leaked password alone can't reach your guest data.
Is there a free trial, and what does it cost?
New accounts start with a free trial, no card required. After the trial, an active subscription keeps your account fully editable, and there isn't a permanent free tier. For current pricing, reach out at hello@guestcount.com.
