Organizer SMS Terms & Conditions

These Organizer SMS Terms & Conditions govern text messages sent through Guestcount LLC ("Guestcount", "we") for the Organizer SMS command interface. They supplement our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

The program

Guestcount is event-guestlist software used by Organizers (promoters, venues, and brands) to manage RSVPs and door check-in. Authorized Organizers may use SMS to read and update their organization's own event data: an Organizer texts commands to their organization's dedicated Guestcount number and receives direct responses or confirmations. Access is limited to mobile numbers the organization authorizes. This is a control interface for your own events — it is not used for marketing or unsolicited messaging.

Who can use it

Only mobile numbers an organization authorizes can activate SMS command access. Responses to those commands may include event and guest details for the Organizer's own events, so you are responsible for keeping your authorized number secure. If an authorized number is lost, ported, or reassigned, you must promptly remove it from command access. Guestcount may disable command access, or require you to re-verify a number, at any time.

Terms

  • Messages you'll receive. Responses to your commands, guest-list information, event data, check-in information, and confirmations of requested changes. Messages are sent only in response to a command or request from an authorized Organizer.
  • No marketing. Guestcount does not send marketing or promotional messages through the Organizer SMS command program.
  • Frequency. Recurring. Message frequency varies based on how often the Organizer uses the command service.
  • Cost. Message and data rates may apply, depending on your wireless plan and as charged by your carrier.
  • Opt out. Reply STOP to any Guestcount message to disable SMS command access for that number. You will receive a single confirmation and no further command responses at that number unless access is reactivated. Opting out this way disables command access for that number only — it does not affect your Guestcount account or messages sent to your organization’s guests.
  • Help. Reply HELP to any message, or email support@guestcount.com.
  • Carriers. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Delivery is not guaranteed.
  • No marketing resale. Mobile numbers collected for Organizer SMS command access are used only to authenticate authorized users and deliver the command responses and confirmations described here. We do not sell or share these numbers or SMS consent with third parties for their own marketing. These are Organizer command-access numbers, distinct from guest numbers, which are governed by our SMS Terms & Conditions.
