How paying works

When an event charges for a spot, you are buying from the organizer running that event — not from Guestcount.

Who you are paying

The organizer. Their name is shown above the card field on the payment step, and the charge appears on your statement under their account. Guestcount provides the page and passes your card details to Stripe; the money goes directly to the organizer’s own Stripe account and Guestcount never holds it.

Refunds and changes

The organizer sets their own policy and issues any refunds. Guestcount cannot refund a payment it never received. If an event is cancelled or moved, or you need to change your RSVP, contact the organizer directly. Many organizers publish their own purchase terms — where they do, the payment step links to those instead of this page.

Holding your spot

Your spot is held for a few minutes while you pay, so it cannot be taken by someone else mid-checkout. If the hold runs out before the payment completes, the spot is released and you can RSVP again.

Your details

Card details are handled by Stripe and never reach Guestcount’s servers. How the rest of your information is handled is covered by our Privacy Policy.
